The "Lauretum" is a great Abruzzo Extra Virgin produced in collaboration with the winemaker Francesco Valentini from the pressing of the Dritta olive varieties, coming from the Loreto Aprutino area. Unfiltered and the result of the most traditional and artisanal methods, it is characterized by a pleasantly herbaceous and vegetable aromatic set, with bitter notes of walnuts, rocket, aromatic herbs and light spicy sensations. Intense, elegant and of the finest quality.

Colour : Green yellow, with great concentration

Scent : Intense and refined, with bitter notes of dried fruit, aromatic herbs, rocket and light spicy nuances

Taste: Of great aromatic cleanliness, very elegant, intense and rich, with bitter and spicy nuances on the finish

THE PRODUCER:

“I’m an artisan, that’s all”. This is how Francesco Paolo Valentini very simply sums up his relationship with the land, the vineyard and wine. A relationship that his family has maintained for centuries and always in the ancient village of Loreto Aprutino, in the province of Pescara. Starting with his ancestors in the mid-17th century to the present day.

An eminent figure of 20th-century Italian winemaking, his father, Edoardo, guided Francesco in the beginning, over 30 years ago. He continued to help him over the years, passing on a method that is both tradition and evolution in keeping with nature, based on daily commitment and a centuries-old archive of notes and experience.

His Trebbiano di Valentini was rated as the first of the top 50 Italian wines, but climate changes make it increasingly difficult to achieve such outstanding results, especially if no corrective operations are carried out in the vineyard or the cellar, leaving nature to take its time and do its work. As the Latins – who cultivated grapes here thousands of years ago – used to say, natura non facit saltus.
